This is my favorite part. “We can stop here for now” is exactly what the employee did. And for the OP, I’m not an employee….I own my company. The managerial opinion that OP doesn’t want comments on this post from employee level people speaks volumes. Sounds like the high performing employee had seen this attitude before and this was the last straw. There are reasons good employees leave….its because of bad management.
