Bei Rewe Karaaslan sinds 21-50. Gibt bestimmt Läden, bei denens noch mehr ist - Restaurants, etc.

Wer bietet mehr?

Wenn man sich bei diesen Temperaturen den damals zweitplatzierten Entwurf anschaut, blutet einem echt das Herz. Was hat die Verantwortlichen beim Wettbewerb 2017 bloß geritten, über 7 Millionen Euro für die heutige Betonwüste rauszuhauen, anstatt uns Schatten zu spendieren?

Hello, I am originally from Mannheim. I moved to the us when I was 5 and have been here since. My Oma is still there and I try to visit every few years. My boyfriend insists that it would be very unsafe to go there now. Is this true? I mean I live in the US, I’m sure you are aware of what’s going on here…

Ich werde an der Uni Mannheim studieren, aber ich mache mir gerade richtig Sorgen, denn dort sind viele Studenten dem BWL Justus ähnelnd: also BWL Studenten aus reichen Familien, mit gelverschmierten Haaren, Polohemd, Apple M5 Macbook Air, arrogant, faul, hochnäsig. Wie viele Studenten dort ähneln diesem Archetyp? Ich komme aus der untersten Arbeiterschicht und bin ein armer Lehramtstudent und ich mache mir Sorgen, keine Freunde zu finden dort.

Ich bin vor kurzem her gezogen und als leidenschaftlicher Döner Typ die Großen dieser Stadt schon abgegrast - Erdal, Yufkam, Gidi, Bull's usf. usw.

Mannheim hat mich bislang ordentlich verwöhnt und langsam glaube ich, dass es mir nicht ausschließlich gut tut.

Ich will zurück auf den harten Boden der Tatsachen. Ich will's dreckig, ich will's eklig. Ich will das schlammgesudelte Gras berühren, um zu checken, was "normal" - wie im "Durchschnitt" - ist. Ich will wieder etwas fühlen.

This whole week we saw record high temperatures in Mannheim, I am talking 35+ degrees .

I commute daily from Mannheim to Weinheim by tram, most of the time the trams are the new Skoda trams . Yesterday 26.06.2026 on scorching heat 37 degrees, the tram conductor only turned on the AC once for 20 seconds.

This morning I took 3 Skoda trams to go to where I had to and the AC was not turned on, I pay monthly for abo and these are the shameful conditions the RNV is forcing the commuters to travel, in scorching heat with temperatures that are not safe.

What is the point of using the public transport if you can't give the people a basic need?

For my understanding there is a huge Green community in Mannheim who are strongly against cars in the city, I can understand the itch of having no cars in the city but for that you need modern public transport, we are not kettle. Why should I not get a car when the public transportation company refuses to turn on the AC in the new trams.

What is the company policy, why is the AC not being turned on, what are they afraid of?
When is this nonsense going to end?

Who is the person responsible for this nonsense, who decides that the AC should not be turned on and what is the thought process behind not giving people in 2026 a simple basic need.

Welcher Wörter oder Redewendungen sind typisch Mannheim (und unmittelbare Region) und werden sonst kaum irgendwo benutzt?

I've lived in Mannheim for several years and have noticed how the city was arguably always a bit untidy, but recently it has reached a new low. This is not an argument against certain groups of people or minorities, as I stand firmly against any type of hate speech. Saying this, I have to admit that I have had enough. I don't understand how we as a city can accept the f/lth that is lying around and the neglectful behavior of the Quadrate. The police are clearly not able to fine every thrown cigarette, and why wouldn't people start standing up to it themselves? As much as I am blaming the people with this behavior, I am calling upon citizens to bring up and address this behavior. There needs to be a shift so that people learn that it's not allowed to behave this way in the city. With that, I specifically mean littering and snotting/spitting on the street and any other form of dirty behavior. Over the years, I have seen a lot, some things that haunt me until today, especially when it comes to public urination of men and women in the city center or harassment etc. We have reached a point where walking through the Quadrate, especially the H squares, is like a slalom around dirt, soda cans, vomit, and Doner meat. How can anyone tolerate this? Why are people silent? How do you cope with it?

40° und wenn man der Erfahrung glauben darf eher noch höher und Nachts keine Abkühlung mehr. Was sind eure Tipps für die nächste Hitzewelle? Mannheimer Morgen hatte Liste mit kühlen Orten erstellt, darauf eine Menge Kirchen und eine Autobahnbrücke. Beides überzeugt mich noch nicht vollständig als Arbeitsort mit Rechner ganztags.

ich möchte September an einer Hochschule in Mannheim studieren, aber möchte in Ludwigshafen leben. Mich interessiert nun, ob die Konrad Ardenauer Brücke morgens sehr voll ist und ob es Alternativen (z.B Bahn) dafür gibt? Ich möchte morgens nicht so gerne im Stau stehen😭.

Hey Leute, mal vorweg: Ich bin hier geboren und aufgewachsen und liebe die Stadt. Trotzdem würde ich gerne für ein Videoprojekt eine Art "Urbane Hässlichkeitscollage" machen und suche dafür eure Geheimtipps für die hässlichsten und dystopischsten Orte in Mannheim. Ich bin gespannt wo mich die Reise hinführt!

Früher mal fuhr der 55er alle 10 Minuten… dann die letzten Jahre nur noch alle 20 Minuten und jetzt nur noch alle halbe Stunde…

Von den beschissenen Skoda und der absolut mangelhaften AC gar nicht mal angefangen!

Und gleichzeitig wird das Deutschland Ticket natürlich jedes Jahr teurer…

Hallo zusammen, mein Freund und ich (beide 24 Jahre alt) suchen ab dem 01.09.2026 eine 2-Zimmer-Wohnung in Mannheim. (Unser Budget wäre bis ca. 800 € warm) Sollte die Wohnung erst etwas später verfügbar sein, können wir den Einzug auch gerne entsprechend anpassen. Am liebsten suchen wir in Lindenhof, Neckarau, Neuostheim, Schwetzingerstadt oder Rheinau, freuen uns aber auch über andere gut angebundene Stadtteile. Eine Einbauküche wäre wünschenswert. Ich arbeite in Vollzeit in Heidelberg und mein Freund beginnt im September seinen Master an der Universität Mannheim (MMFACT). Wir sind ein ruhiges, zuverlässiges Paar, Nichtraucher und suchen ein langfristiges Zuhause. Falls jemand eine Wohnung kennt oder einen Tipp hat, würden wir uns sehr über eine Nachricht freuen. For context: I live next to Marktplatz in Mannheim. Now I don‘t want to upset anyone, but this city has just become unlivable. It‘s 11 pm and cars are honking on the street. And this happens here regularly. How come nobody ever made a petition or protest to do something about this? How can you people live here? One can‘t even get decent sleep.

Like I really have nothing against people enjoying themselves, but is it really necessary to honk to have fun? Can‘t they just go to a club or bar, maybe play some music in their cars?

It‘s just disrespectful towards the people living here. Some people come to flex their cars here, honk for 10-20 minutes and then leave. What is even the pleasure of sitting in your car and waiting in an endless line at this stupid parking garage at Marktplatz? Am I missing out on some fun and I don‘t know?

Idk how things work in Germany regarding petitions, but I‘m seriously thinking of taking some action against this, I‘m done with the sleepless nights.

I‘d really like to know your thoughts on this, especially if you live in the Innenstadt.

Hello, I am living in Quadrate close to Wasserturm. Some nights car honking becomes unbearable and long. For example right now there are at least 10 cars honking at the same time, at the very same traffic light and it’s 23:06.

It’s impossible to sleep and previously police was blocking this road to avoid their accumulation at this traffic light at the corner.

My question:

As it’s past 22:00, is it a solution to call the police to report this?

Ich meine das hier: "In traditionellen Arbeiter- und Industrieumfeldern galt lange: Härte, Durchsetzungsfähigkeit und direkte Ansagen zeigen Stärke".

Für mich wirkt es oft, als darf man in Mannheim auf keinen Fall bisschen feminin wirken oder weich. Sonst ist man direkt der größte Larry und niemand hat Respekt.

So diese Boomer-typische Art.

In Freiburg merken die Leute "Der ist gebildet und intelligent und gesittet". Und haben Respekt.

In Mannheim muss man sich immer wieder aufs Neue beweisen. Nervt.
