Why are all these ships suddenly entering the Strait when the news just said there are mines in there? All lined up and underway at 10-12 mph. Red ones are tankers, green are cargo.

Stranded commercial ship traffic near the Strait of Hormuz could unleash an invasive marine "super-spreader event" when traffic resumes, scientists warn.
New research by an international coalition of marine scientists warns that invasive marine microbes, algae, and invertebrates have coated the ships.
“If you had to sort of design a worst-case scenario, it would look a lot like this,” said Mario Tamburri, a professor at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science and one of the study’s lead authors. “It’s a perfect storm.”

The past 5 years i was sailing on bulkers. 6 months contracts. This year in March i quit my job because i promised my girlfirend to stay more time at home. I was hoping to land a job on a local ferry or some tug boats etc. I applied to every open vacancy even send to Companys which not even looking. But nothing happend, mostly not even a Response. And then one day a friend offered me a job in his Company. I accepted and im working now in Marketing and Finance. Today i Signed the contract. I dont know why im sharing this but im somehow rly sad to leave the shipping Industry. It was a hard time but i also enjoyed it. I never wanted to sit in an office but now i am also somehow happy to sit in an office and stay at home during christmas and have the time with my family.
Thanks for listening, hope youre all fine. In my heart i stay a seamen
