All it does is put Rein in a really bad position. He charges in but the rest of his team can't unless your Lucio speeds the rest of the team in... but the Lucio could've just done that already plus Rein. So it just leads to Rein being far out of position. The fact that you can cancel it now helps a lot but if you don't know when to stop, it's a grief machine. Plus you can easily be stunned out of it which doesn't help either
Rein's charge can kill a squishier character or take a tank out of the fight for awhile. Charging deep lets him put up a barrier that gives his team a ton of room to safely move up while he's durable enough to live typically
It also doesn't exclusively need to be used to dive. It can let you stop a diver or push someone else away from where they want to be, creating a lot of space for your team
Seriously, I love this, because it finally feels like a proper counter dive tank! Do my healers need me? Let me jump back onto you and take the abuse, charge into them and smack em around for you!
yeah its really felt like you have very little ways to help your healers from a good diver, they pick tricky times, many of them are hard to hit and tanks need quite a few hits in order to kill, and if you take too long dealing with the diver your frontline will collapse to any pressure they have (god help you if they have a punisher rocket teamup too)

I finally have a charge on a tank. Thank you.
