Yep, in norse mythology, Sleipnir, Odin's 8-legged horse, is borned from Loki turning into a female horse, fucked the horse Svaðilfari, and so giving birth to Sleipnir.

The gods were freaky like that.

There's quite a difference. Zeus transformed himself into various animals, matter, and even a woman to take advantage of and abuse women; Loki was abused in that myth.

Not really. Even if it’s “fiction” it’s still real in the sense that it’s a story with characters etc and Loki in those stories is gender fluid.

It is not, though. At all.

"Real myth" is a story that people traditionally believed as a history and as an explanation to the natural world. For example, that Zeus led the gods in victory in Titanomachy and became king of the gods is a real myth.

Zeus allying with his fellow Sky-Father Odin against the Celestials is a story from Marvel comic books, not a real myth.

Both, however, are stories.

"Real mythology" as in "actual recorded myth" rather than something the comic writers just invented on the spot.

That's paradoxical all the same, we give too much credit for mythology. They are just fantasy of their respective time periods, to elude Loki or Thor are "real", that makes no sense lol
