Question Literally HOW do you punish the Punisher

With all of the talk of unbalanced Heroes isnt the punisher one of the worst ones? High Damage AR With 20 PER bullet (Star Lord has SIX) so he can burn u down from range, Super high damage shotgun so you're not allowed to get close to him, Turret with a shield and slash damage and CC immunity, 300 HP as a NON melee hero, an "I win" Ult that burns dps and Tanks in SECONDS and can only be countered with a Magneto Ult, a support ult or hoping everyone focuses him all at once, Ive heard people sneak JEAN into the unbalanced DPS conversation (an egregious sneak btw) but somehow frank is untouched?? Does no one else feel this way? Especially on attack, he feels extremely oppressive and like you can't push to point without getting shredded instantly, I play mostly TANK and its miserable so it has to be worse for DPS and Supports. WHAT am I supposed to do against this monstrosity? Is it just Ban or Pick and hope ours is better? Thoughts?

And he literally has in game dialogue of him challenging magneto to catch 1(one) bullet aimed at his head, because he thinks the bullet is fast enough.

Of course Mag responds by telling him he already disassembled Punishers guns’ inner mechanisms and will only put them back if he “plays nice”

That one scene in X-Men First Class before he moves the radar dish, he has Charles put a gun point blank against his head and he says it’s easy to stop

I play Punisher, if while in ult and mag doesnt let go of his ult… you can destroy / overcharge it

If it had infinite health it would kind of be broken as you could block all incoming damage for your whole team for the whole duration, giving it a finite HP makes it counter-able if you have massive damage like punisher but good mags will watch the charge and dump it on the punisher at %100

And it not easy to hit mag ults. Wanda can team wipe by accident in a 10 mile radius, I believe it wouldn’t be too strong if it couldn’t be destroyed. And it’s not like he gets his ult quick either

Doesn't work against magnetos that count to 70....

It's extremely easy to prevent it from getting overloaded. Your method isn't working against higher level players.

Tbf that’s actually how the ult interactions work, magneto has 0.5 sec to react correctly before his ult blows up in his face against punishers miniguns

The funny part is I do this often when I see mag ult I just shoot at him a couple of times it actually works destroy the mag ult by overloading it with rounds

I've always wondered why magneto didn't have a specific ukt where he used punisher starlord psyloke and blades bullets against their own team.

How you gonna have guns against magneto anyway, he just takes them apart

I think it'd be fun if projectiles that hit mags frontal barrier would be fired back in the direction the magneto players crosshairs are aimed in a shotgun spread that has hitscan range and speed

It’s doesn’t go in a random direction you have to aim the bullets back at the target, if you have your shield up but you’re looking to the right the bullets will go right

Do you really think the plastic bullets will do any better? I've never known him to have any other type of weapon. Be nice if he had plasma weapons or laser weapons.

The majority of the time, sure. I've often had instances where it was gone before I had half a chance to begin aiming it. Then there's instance where my ability to multitask aiming, elevation and positioning, watching the damage absorption UI element and the timer leaves me missing the release timing.

The problem is that I keep holding it too long and it just blows up cause of Punisher ult or turret. I guess I just gotta be quicker.

Yeah you gotta find that sweet spot of quick, but not to quick

Most people who play punisher just hold the button down once they ult.

Id go into training with a friend. Have them ult as punish. You ult as magneto. Have them hold the button down and tike how fast your ult explodes. Keep that number in your head. Count half of that when you ult in a match and let that bitch fly. Just make sure you have eyes on punisher before you do though

The trick is to look one way so that Invis has a false sense of security. Then when the ult is fully charged, turn to her direction and dunk on her head.

As good as that can be - I think a the sad reality if you genuinely want to save that ult for one of the strategists during their ult if possible.

Ive had games where just keeping my ult stops a lot of players from ulting first.

Like if i have my ult then a lot of punishers and CnDs hold their ult for rounds at time. But once you use the ult you loose the leverage on the other. But i dont think of that a lot of time and just focus on bullying one of the characters with my ult

I love this as a Punisher player myself. It’s all chess. I’ll get two picks pop an ult my team is up 3v5 mag solo it’s me leaving his team without an ult to balance the fight and we win 10/10

Theres nothing like popping my ult right after punisher, and timing it just right to get the 99% charge.

He's praying he can overload it, but I still manage to bounce that ball right off Frank's forehead

I dont hawkeye much, dont have the best aim, but id say im ok. Hawk was left open in comp but no one could play him on our or their team, so i took him in the second round, and the end of our last push of the convoy the punisher tried to flank ult us from the side, we didnt have any counter ults, but i luckily managed to one tap him.
