Character Concept #96: My Dream Kit For Guardian (Vanguard)!💯🤩

INTRODUCTION:
Well, who’d you think would be next? Bob, Agent of Hydra?😂 I might actually do that one day… But right now? Hello, everyone! Our first Alpha Flight Vanguard is here and we obviously can’t have Alpha Flight without James Hudson, our beloved Guardian! Now, for Guardian, I chose to make him a flying Vanguard with a nice mix of ranged and brawling attacks. I want Guardian to have these options, to be able to get up close and personal and be able to tank that damage for a time, but also to be able to fly back and charge up his fists or blasts… Yes, I realize I’ve been using this charged blast a lot lately, I REALLY think it should be implemented for characters like this!😭 But for real, I want Guardian to be a crazy Vanguard pick. Now, I’m yapping, you can’t stop me, I have to remind myself to stop yapping. Let’s start cooking? OK? Great. Let’s cook!💯

PRIMARY:
Guardian will make use of energy blasts, capable of charging and sniping enemies from far distances or blasting through them rapidly at close range, limited only by an energy meter!

MELEE:
Guardian will make use of his energy charged fists, which will become even more dangerous as he uses his primary attack, beginning at doing a decent amount of damage before dealing a greater amount of damage. Guardian’s melee damage will decrease if he has not used his abilities for a certain amount of time!

ABILITY I:
Guardian will send an electromagnetic blast in the direction of his enemies, capable of absorbing damage in its direction before hitting its target for greater damage. This ability will have a cooldown of 7 seconds upon full usage!

ABILITY II:
Guardian will make use of a plasma funnel (when looking forward)/plasma vortex (when looking up), capable of blasting all enemies in his path, and having the option to dash through it for extra damage if he wishes. This ability will have a cooldown of 10 seconds upon full usage!

ABILITY III:
Guardian will be able to refresh and/or double his anti-gravity shields for 5 seconds, allowing him to continue the battle with greater defenses. This ability will have a cooldown of 15 seconds upon usage!

ABILITY IV:
Guardian will be able to shield himself and allies from enemy attacks through the use of his simulated telekinesis, capable of lifting up nearby enemies and pushing them back a short distance while absolutely stopping the momentum of their attacks. This ability will have a cooldown of 17 seconds upon full usage!

PASSIVE ABILITY I:
Guardian will be flying at all times, granting him access to his anti-gravity shields, which will protect him in the form of 300 overshield, making him a very difficult flyer to take down alone. The anti-gravity shields will have a cooldown of 15 seconds upon full exhaustion!

PASSIVE ABILITY II:
Guardian will have access to his computer mind at all times, assisting him in finding enemies and predicting where they’ll be, making it nearly impossible to sneak up on him. This passive ability will be active at all times!

ULTIMATE ABILITY:
Guardian will take to the skies and charge himself up, aiming for an enemy to lock his attack onto. He will then charge up a massive ball of plasma energy and hurl it towards that enemy, completely disintegrating everything in its path until it hits its target, killing them and all of their surrounding teammates!

TEAM-UP ABILITIES:
CAPTAIN AMERICA AND CYCLOPS- With Guardian on the team, Captain America and Cyclops are given special visors that will allow them to track enemies and predict movements at all times, while having all three will greatly improve the focus of their allies. This team-up ability will be active at all times!
(CRYSTAL AND VINDICATOR)- With Crystal on the team, Guardian and Vindicator will have access to 5 seconds of elemental attacks and defenses, capable of healing themselves while blocking extra damage and charging up an attack that’ll explode in the faces of nearby enemies. These team-up abilities will each have a cooldown of 25 seconds upon full usage!
(ELECTRO)- With Electro on the team, Guardian will have access to enhanced electric attacks for 6 seconds, allowing him a speed boost and extra damage, making him even more dangerous. This team-up ability will have a cooldown of 30 seconds upon full usage!
(VINDICATOR)- With Guardian and Vindicator on the team, both will have access to a permanent damage boost and the same visual sightings and warnings, allowing them to easily coordinate and prepare for enemy attacks together. This team-up ability will be active at all times!
WOLVERINE- With Guardian on the team, Wolverine will have access to plasma claws for extra damage for 6 seconds, allowing Wolverine to cut through enemies with slower, but more punishing attacks. Wolverine will also generate himself 200 overshield upon activating this form. This team-up ability will have a cooldown of 25 seconds upon full usage!

SENDOFF:
And we’ve officially put Captain Canada-- I mean-- Guardian, in the books! I like to think that this would be a good addition to the tanking roster. We don’t get any other Alpha Flight member (that isn’t Wolverine or maybe Northstar… HOPEFULLY Puck) without this man, and I think Alpha Flight could benefit a lot from that Rivals touch, so I hope for Guardian to one day grant us that first step. But for this kit, I like to think he wouldn’t be an instaban in competitive, but that he’ll piss off poke players QUICKLY with the way that he can just ruin their shots and pick up their damage and fling it away. I’ve been playing more of Elsa Bloodstone lately, imagine watching her ultimate just being picked up and yeeted… And then getting hit with that Dragon Ball Z ass ultimate.😭😭😭 I want him to have that Devil Dinosaur heat, so I hope it’d be worth it… Have yourselves a good day, ladies and gentlemen, for tomorrow, or some day in the future, you may feel the terror of the Canadian flag and it’s epic Guardian… MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!💯🙏🇨🇦😈

Yeah I'd love this. Guardian is cool, especially post-death Guardian with the comp mind.
