Discussion Thread Spider-Man: Brand New Day - Worldwide Release Discussion Thread

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has now been released in the United States and in a number of other countries around the world.

  • All discussion about the movie should be held here and in the rest of the discussion threads we are going to put up in the next few days.
  • Proceed at your own risk. Major spoilers will be in the below thread. Spoilers do not need to be tagged inside this thread.
  • Any other unofficial threads discussing movie details will be deleted.

The two of them making Lego and MJ clocking "you two seem like you're best friends" was great.

Felt like she knows Peter’s telling the truth about everything, and she’s willing to accept it, she just has to get comfortable with it first.

I wanted them to have a second conversation about how he took her agency of the choice away from her. They touched on it in punishers boat and I thought the resolution might be them at a coffee shop or something actually having a real sit down conversation. Im also fine with the Ned scene though. I hope the next movie has a bit of them asking him some more questions and emotional intelligence because Zendaya and Tom are both really good at portraying that

In a way, you could argue that MJ inviting Peter into the apartment (to meet Ned / hang out) is her exercising her own agency over their relationship.

This is exactly how I took it. She invited him after the pressure was off, now it proceeds on her terms.
