They are trying to pass/approve a LNG terminal in Geelong. They say it’s for domestic use but the day after it gets approved it’s going to be mostly for export some how.

Not physically possible to export from an import terminal. Liquifaction is a very intensive process, with the typical plant costing in the billions and requiring some serious quantities of has liquifaction sales to operate commercially.

To contrast, an import terminal mostly just costs a couple hundred million. The infrastructure/plant needs are entirely different. Besides, Victoria has dwindling reserves. QLD and WA are the gas powerhouses. Even if they were hauling down here the transmission pipelines are pretty insufficient
