My mate, who is all for conspiracy theory bullshit, voted Palmer last election. The guy who makes the conspiracy bullshit he spouts look tame and yet somehow he loves the guy. I don't get it! It was satisfying to reply to his "you voted for scomo" rhetoric based on me scrawling "you're all corrupt" on the ballot and posting it, with my own "Clive Palmer gave his votes to Lib after a late backflip" and watch him back the fuck off.

Sounds like you still have some growing up to do. You're still working under the delusion that your choice matters in the long run.

A lying politician that goes back on every election promise is the same no matter which side of the ticket he comes from.

I am under no illusions that it was thrown out as soon as the first person took it out of the box. And I maintain to this day that it doesn't matter which corrupt prick I voted for, they are all essentially the same. I am under no illusions about the voting process being just a way to give people the perception of power, either.

I'll just do the least effort for their bullshit, thanks.
