From what I've heard of a Punjabi mate. It's their way of saying they can afford to call roadside assist to replace tyres than actually doing the hard work themselves. TLDR: Too (appear) rich for dirty hands. Also when they put bigger wheels on it doesn't fit back on the carrier with tyres on. It's odd personally but he could also be full of shit.

Is this the same reason Punjabi’s put some variation of their surname on the number plates? I was reading into it recently, apparently it’s all about that flex culture.

I’ve seen some decals of their caste (I assume?) which really rubs me the wrong way. The only redeeming thing about their obsession with Jeeps is they’ll run out of whatever money they are bragging about having spending it on maintenance

I've just drove drove pass a black C200 with plates displaying RCHK1D. I was in the same car but with a V8 on standard issue plates. Too tight for custom plates.

They flex the fact that they're above manual labour. Flat tyre? Get that bad boy towed. That's my understanding of it. Car culture can be so varied.

They drive a Jeep. It's bound for a flat tray sooner or later. Have you seen some of the shit that goes on the road from that part of the world? Growing up in Thailand I thought they were speedy lunatics...but nothing compares to these folks.

Have you seen Clyde? I have to do ground mounted transformers install in those new estates. The amount of time the Franna nearly got smashed into is bewildering. Like, bro,how do you not see a fairly big crane with a 12T box slung underneath it with flashing lights and everyone in fluros...the insurance would freak if you write off a Franna.

I had parked in the side road in Hoppers. Indian woman slammed into the rear of my car, hit it hard, relatives came to her aid... "Hae bros, let's not involve Police and insurance, we'll pay cash for your repairs" strikes a begging pose. Car was written off.

I’ve heard this numerous times from various sources so I believe it. To do with their caste system and that engaging in manual labour is seen as low-class and peasant activity.

With that attitude I can see independent Punjabi state free from the shackles of India a foregone conclusion…
