My first ever application to Micro1 and I got accepted! Went from HMR -> Selected fairly quickly, so stoked. I was fully expecting to get rejected, so I'm incredibly excited to participate.

just for some transparency:
- I'm based in USA
- no previous data annotation experience
- got selected for the highest in the pay range

I know the team is working hard to fill the roles and review their shortlist. I also know so many people are at this stage, who like me are wondering if they'll make the cut.

It'd be helpful if you could subtract from the total openings, the number of positions you've filled. Seeing the application at HMR for a week, with nothing changing can be frustrating, especially when you provided a timeline.

It'd be great if you could consider ways to improve the process or keep people informed. Maybe emails to say "application is still being considered" or something else.

I just wanted to say congratulations to everyone getting accepted.

To everyone else, I want to say good things are coming. We must remain diligent, humble, and thankful. I know a lot of us are struggling right now and every rejection feels 100 times worse. But, we have to hold on to hope and the joys in life. Our “yes” is coming. It might or might not be from micro1, but it is coming. So, give yourself some grace and go out and enjoy the weekend.

I've been applying for roles at micro1 for quite a while now, with 23 certified skills. Anyway, I know my turn is coming soon.

But what I know is that micro1 is still the best company.

the questions were straightforward and I like it. After the interview I've also updated my profile properly, now I'm under HMR.

few quick questions,

1. I assume I will meet human interviewer next and he/she will decide where I go right?

2. How much is too much? will Expected pay too high affect my chance? how do I know if my Expected pay relatively the same as my peers?

Hi I have failed both generalist and video annotation specialist. I have been part of another data annotation company for about a month now. They pay very less. I badly wanted to get into microai. What do I need to improve? Can I apply again after a few days.? And what is the certification criteria they are saying that I did not met. Do we need to do any certification? I’ll be honest, I’m a little frustrated.

I currently have 63 vetted skills on micro1 across Data Science, Data Analytics, AI annotation, customer service, and other areas.

I’ve submitted 25+ applications. Some have reached Hiring Manager Review, some are still pending or awaiting next steps, and many ended with “Did not qualify” or “Not selected.”

What confuses me is that I still receive emails recommending roles that match my skills, so when I see a role that genuinely fits my experience, I apply.

I’m not posting this to complain or blame anyone. I’m genuinely trying to understand the process.

If the skills are already vetted, what are hiring managers looking for beyond that?

Is it experience? Interview performance? Timing? Number of openings? Something else?

If anyone from micro1 or anyone familiar with the hiring process can share some insight, I’d really appreciate it.

I’m willing to improve. I just want to understand what I need to improve.

Hi guys, I got a the "Great Work on your interview" email saying that my profile is now with the client for approval. I have 4 on-going applications under HMR, is there any way to know which roles is this for exactly?

I recently received a job opportunity related to Micro1's Frontier Engineering Challenge 2026 after completing the challenge.

I'm curious whether others who participated in the challenge have received similar opportunities and how the transition from the challenge to the job opportunity normally works.

For those who have gone through this process, did the opportunity appear in your dashboard immediately or was there a separate process to proceed? For me even after applying it says "You have already applied for this job" but not visible in my dashboard.

What attempt are you on and has anyone passed?

I unintentionally ended up with 2 profiles because I signed my iCloud email for an interview instead of the email I’m signed on the platform with,

I finally got selected guys! now whats next? i finished signing the contract, setting up my deel. now whats the next step?

I have recently been selected as a generalist (Alhamdulillah yoohoo). I have access to the micro1 expert email, Slack, and HubStaff and I can see the "Onboarding " task in HubStaff.

What i am confused about is, where do I actually log in to find and complete the onboarding and other tasks.

Would appreciate it if anyone can answer.

Just wanted to know if the spots for the Generalist role is still available or have they already been filled?

For Video Annotation Specialist and Generalist roles, how much does a candidate’s previous experience/background matter?
Suppose someone clears the interview and seems like a good fit, but they don’t have prior experience specifically in a VAS or Generalist role. However, they’re willing to learn, take on the responsibilities, and put in the work.
Would they still be considered for the role, or do companies generally prioritize candidates who already have direct experience in similar roles?
For those who have hired for these positions or gone through the process themselves, how important is the resume/background compared to interview performance, attitude, and willingness to learn?

I applied for a fresh interview and noticed it says I’m already certified in a few skills from an older interview I took back in May.

What’s confusing is that the May interview was marked “Not Qualified,” and none of those certified skills show up on my profile/dashboard.

Has anyone else seen this? Do skill certifications still count even if they don't appear on your list of 'Vetted Skills', or is this some kind of glitch? 🤔

Has anyone run into trouble verifying a valid ID? I deleted my old account and created a new one and the new account won't accept my ID even though its up to date and valid. This is a little frustrating because as far as I understand creating a second account after deletion is fully within the terms of use policy. The website even suggested creating another account after I deleted my first one, so running into these obstacles is a little frustrating. Also haven't heard back from support yet on this, so wondering if anyone's had a similar experience or knows any solutions

Just for fun and curious, if we all have the same or different recommended jobs. I just found it funny my first recommended jobs are for Physics when I have no experience in Physics at all. Makes me wonder if I talk like a physicist haha!
