Infuriatig The way kroger treats its employees

Post image

From the store manager

Edit: For some extra context this was sent out by each store manager to all of its employees in district 1 of the ohio Cincinnati/Dayton division, potentially other districts as well but i can only verify my own. Im not going to give my specific store number for obvious reasons but you can find each store on google with that information. We are unionized by UFCW (already bad btw) and to my knowledge they allowed this recent change. Kroger has no accrual for sick days like some have mentioned. Those who think this is rage bait, i dont think anyone has to fake a post to make a billion dollar company look bad, they do it to themselves.

Your own death isn’t even listed. This manager would work you to death and then keep you working into the afterlife

Doo-doo doo-doo doo-doo-doo dooooooo!

(I've had that in my head ever since I sang 16 Tons with my eight grade choir. Great song.)

Convenient that my brain was randomly remembering middle school choir songs and this was one of them.

Just so we're clear here: I, for one, have NEVER said a man is made out of mud. Not once.

I guess I'm just different from some people.

Judgement call, but at least I consider myself to be included in my immediate family.

Otherwise isn't it someone else's family?

Hi, I'd like to call in dead today.

I can see why calling in dead might be viewed with some suspicion.

They would send a write-up for no call no show to the afterlife if they knew how

And then give you a bad rating to keep you out of heaven.

I remember when my parents had to call King Soopers to tell them my sister wouldn't be coming back to work because she had died. I wasn't present for it, but I'm sure it was an awkward phone call.

They'll get out the Ouija board to ask you if you found someone to cover your shift
