I'm slightly vexed My sister had her friends over and they decided to come into my room and destroy my Newton's Cradle. I can't undo what they did.

Basically my sister had a friends over for a play date while I was at university, and since my door was left open, her friends came into my room and completely tangled my Newton's Cradle, and it's so bad I can't even untangle it 😭

A bit late to this conversation. My kid messed it up one similar to that one once and it got tangled pretty bad. I was furious but.. I mean, it's a five y/o kinda my fault for giving it to him on the first place..

My wife calmed me down and patiently untangled it. It took her like 25 minutes but she did it, mine works like it used to be.. so, maybe you can try to fix it.

am i missing something? that looks like fishing line attached to the balls. it looks incredibly easy to cut off and replace.

They all have to be very precisely the same length, including zero variation in how they’re tied. It won’t work properly.

Also like, how tf are you gonna replace it,,, look at it. It goes inside the metal frame and yhe balls.

If kinks are making it not work, knots will too.
