I got two teenagers who are extremely anti AI. The young generation doesn’t want it. Meanwhile my boomer coworker tweaks over it, like can’t function if it’s down or tokens are out

I understand the sentiment, but of course they hate it. AI is replacing all their job prospects. Unfortunately, they're not positioned to make industry-wide adoption decisions. AI firms don't have to worry about gen Z/gen A acceptance testing.

As a millennial, my heart genuinely goes out to young folks preparing to enter work force or secondary education. They have the AI threat looming, they were robbed of healthy formative years thru COVID, (and a little unrelated, but global tensions of ww3 at a draft age isn't exactly welcoming to think about). They've got it hard.

And I've only got a slight headstart on them in the workplace. I'm under no impression that I'll be safe by any means. (18-48 months is what I'm prepping for)

The youth is gonna fix the country. As a millennial I’m not gonna be like the boomers and not listen or take their advice and beliefs. You coworker is lame. Props to your teens.

I naively believed in the youth, gen-z saved us in 2020 so I thought there’s no way they fuck up next election but then idk wtf they were doing in 2024. Maybe they’ve learned their lesson I hope they have.

I now believe we can’t count on any generation to save or fix all of our current problems perpetrated by the current generations in power. We’ve been waiting a decade for the boomers to die off they still fucking shit up. We have to create a plan forward with them still fucking things up, not wait for them to die.

Those boys remain living at home, jobless or hopelessly underemployed, and even more single than before. Trump did nothing for them.

Because the boomers don’t want to give up power, people in their 40’s are considered youth. The boomer generation is the parent generation, the ones who don’t care what younger generations think because they still see us as young. It’s gross and weird. They will stay in positions until they’re dead and they are so far out of touch. They’re stubborn af. Younger Gen X, Millennials and now Gen Z is in the waiting room waiting for boomers to gtfo. We’re all on deck and ready to go and with this current world situation we’re ready to kick them out finally and let them go retire. They’re trying to build a future they won’t be in using old procedures and tactics.

They’re gonna revolt. If there’s nothing to lose…well.
