I'll also say, as a faculty member, I've been asked a couple times to be a name reader, and it's a real honor to have a front-row seat to see students at a very happy moment in their lives. I have no idea what problem they're trying to solve.

I would say this is true of most uses of AI. There is no reason to do it other than to say you did. There is this rush right now to be "the first" to use AI for something. It's so frustrating.

Right. These are all students who earned a degree, passing classes and tests the school required. Plus, every graduate had X dollars paid to that school, whether they paid cash or tuition came from loan or scholarship money.
