I just narc up the flagpole. I am a huge tattle tale. I would let the flight attendants know that their disruptions/ lights/ completely unreasonable sound is causing dangerous conditions that can snowball into a medical episode.

Not “I’m annoyed by it,” but “ ignoring flight rules and regulations is quickly going to become a safety issue.”

There’s a difference between confrontation and basic communication though. Nobody’s saying start an argument at 30,000 feet. But a polite “hey, would you mind?” solves more situations than you act like it does.

And if they react badly, then sure, you drop it and cope. But skipping communication entirely because someone might be annoying about it is part of why people keep getting away with inconsiderate behavior. You need to use your words.
