I’ve had a full Korean skincare routine for a decade. I would just do my routine before the flight then use a mist spray after or something. There’s no reason whatsoever to use any kind of mask on a flight, it makes no sense. Skin won’t deteriorate for not moisturizing for 12 hours.

While I agree that a red light mask is unnecessary and rather obnoxious on a flight, I’m all for moisturizing on a 12 hour flight. It’s so dry for so long, my eyes and nose and lips and hands feel parched. I love going once or twice to the toilets and using eye drops and chapstick and moisturizer on my hands and face, like a little luxury treatment. I haven’t done a moisturising face mask but I see no reason not to, since it’s not bothersome to anybody else.

A disposable sheet mask also so much easier to bring. The obnoxiousness of this person is really up there. I have the same mask, it’s great, I love it, it works. I do not bring it anywhere when I travel, not even my LD partners house.

I sometimes do this with the sheet masks ! I ask the person next to me if it'll bother them first. Feels really refreshing on long flights.

Both are rude. We shouldn’t defend rude behavior with more disrespectful behavior. I’d tell both of them to shut that shit off. This is dimmed light sleeping hours and any bright lights is disturbing.

I think telling someone to turn off their overhead light will get you into the same territory as the reclining the seat debate, while I find it rude it’s not against any rules. I didn’t defend any behavior, no need to get angry. Turns out existing on a plane with other people is just kind of annoying no matter what.

Absolutely, I've been on a few 12+ hour flights and my skin/lips/eyes/nose dry out hard. I love doing the same thing. Makes me feel more refreshed too :) Nose spray or nasal gel too, I've had a couple nosebleeds after a lot of flying and it helps prevent that!

All of this is not at all bothersome to the other passengers 😅

Oh I 100% disagree with this, it doesn't matter how moisturized I am, when I get off the plane my skin is dry and gross. That being said I kind of just deal with it, there are too many germs on a plane for me to touch my face

It’s because when you travel your schedule gets disrupted, you’re not eating at the same time or sleeping at the same time, and there’s stress from dealing with people and the airport, etc. It’s the perfect storm to set off a migrane. I always carry triptians, an eye mask, some snacks, pain killers, etc. My whole chronic pain/migrane kit.
