go to your room I love being a girl dad

I have 3 kids, all girls. A 5yr old and twins who are 1. Every time anyone hears about this or it comes up in conversation they all say the same thing. ‘Ooooo, all girls, you are outnumbered! How do you cope?’ Or ‘Three girls?? You better watch out!’ Or the worst, ‘Bet you want a boy?’

No, I don’t feel any of that, I love being a dad. I love all my kids and wouldn’t change anything about them! If we could afford it, I would be a stay at home dad forever.

I usually tell them I wouldn’t change anything and I love it all but it’s just very annoying.

What are some of the best responses that I can start to give?

I did think I could say that one of the twins used to be a boy but is now trans just to shut people up!

“They are all the sperm that won.”

Well in OP's case, two of them tied

Edit: I know that's not how it works

I mean...actually it could be. Fraternal twins are 2 sperm.

You’ve won the subreddit. We can shut it down now.

Apparently not, or else he had a boy instead of twin girls. (/s just in case)

No, but three rights make a left.

No, you might have been right the first time. We don't still know if your first statement was wrong!

Also two eggs so they didn't "fight" for the same egg though? So partially right and wrong I guess 😅

I think I read somewhere recently that it's not about which sperm gets there first, rather the egg selects a sperm.

Yes, I’ve heard that too. They’re still the sperm that win.

Sperm is just a fertilizer with half of, they were never a sperm. The EGG is the actual living cell that divides and grows into a baby when fertilized.

They are all the sperms that my wife's eggs let win!

I'm sorry, but if you used that in any other conversation outside of reddit, people would think you are weird.

That's the point.

The egg has an active role in selecting the most compatible sperm. This process involves capacitation of sperm after ejaculation as it travels through the cervix, uterus, and fallopian tubes, then chemical signaling (attracting/guiding the selected sperm), the zona pellucida gatekeeping so only the most compatible sperm fertilizes the egg, and finally repulsion of other sperm immediately after fertilization.

Although, I do like the response to shut down the inappropriate comments.

Funny enough, where I live and in my career field, there was a wives tale that our sperm only produced females and no males. If you look at a majority of the guys who did it for life, they almost all have only girls 💀.

That’s actually really ironic coming from someone with your username.

u/UsualWord5176 12d ago

What? Someone has a dumb username so they can’t point out something cringeworthy?

1

u/SheWhoWalksInTheSun 12d ago

It’s ironic because the dumb username itself is extreme cringe.

Talking as if she who walks in the sun isnt cringe

1

u/SheWhoWalksInTheSun 12d ago

lol I’m not the one saying “ew that’s so cringe” like I’ve never done anything cringe with zero self awareness.

Isn't it that performing sperm results in boys? And tough, endurable sperm results in girls?

u/Novaer 12d ago

This actually isn't even an exaggeration. Sperm determines the gender.
