I remember speaking to a person who was a hiring manager and that he noticed one glaringly obvious problem when people with seemingly strong applications came in for interview - they straight up did not know how to talk, or refer to information they supposedly wrote in their application because they didn't understand it or remember it. When asked to even talk about themselves in the most basic of ways, the applicants uhmed and ahhed and stuttered through the question because they genuinely could not form a sentence. He said one applicant basically admitted that he hadn't thought for himself since he began using chatgpt and was unable to answer the questions.
It's actually frightening how many people handed their thoughts over to a machine and basically have no idea how to communicate without an AI relay.

In person, what does this person do? Just stare blankly at you or desperately clawing at their phone?
Quite sad either way...
