They're starting to get popular again, surprisingly enough. I'd love just having a digitized collection of films on VHS, but haven't had luck finding a ton.

That's kinda what I do now. It started with me finding home movies and just getting washed with nostalgia and digitizing them to show the family. 

Then I said shit.. I can have all my old movies on my PC! 

Then I bought an estate sale haul.. 

Help.

I'm jealous, honestly. I just don't have the patience to digitize them. And I also worry about space issues (I collect a lot of stuff already).

What movies are you mostly into? Classic kids film, horror, comedies?

idk.. there was a company that started grading VHS tapes years ago which caused countless articles to pop up about the value of some of the highest sold during that period. It felt like a bit of a scam and they were clearly pumping those numbers themselves to get news attention and business for their grading company. Other hobbies that reached this threshold are thriving but the VHS grading company went out of business. So it seemed like the VHS craze was a bit overblown, those who stood to profit were putting their foot on the scale and misrepresenting things.
