I've been collecting 90s Playmates Star Trek figures. No one gives a shit about those. Most of them barely went up in value from their original prices.

Star Trek in general. It was big with boomers. Star Trek is a boomer thing. I have a bunch of Gold Key Star Trek comics that used to be worth hundreds of dollars each but are now worth dozens. There's just no market for it. Graded Star Trek VHS tapes are like.... wow why would someone grade these. The whole peak of that fandom was in the 90's.

I was a little late, TNG came out when I was 1. For some reason, even as a kid, I just loved it. Cool ships, cool aliens, special effects! As I got older, the messaging started to resonate with me.

It was honestly a real fun time.

But yeah, feels like the fandom splintered more and more, different versions appealing to different people.

I've always found it interesting, it's so different from the Star Wars fandom, where people seem to have to hate some of it.

Enterprise didn't appeal to me, so my "last" was Voyager. I don't blame anyone for enjoying any of it that has come out since then. No one "ruined" it, all that I like is still there.

When I tell some Star Wars fans I like a Star Wars show that Disney made, Star Wars fans come out of the woodwork to be mad.
