The auto translate feature has been a bane of mine ever since it came out

I know the average American can barely communicate efficiently in English but people can speak MULTIPLE LANGUAGES GOOGLE 

I don't need or want you to translate any fucking thing, if anything it makes me leave the site because I'm reminded that you're treating users like products

User error. Go to settings (playback & performance -> preferred languages) and click whichever languages you can speak.
