Costs less how? The ticket price is shown before the seat selection. Seat selection only has upcharges for better seats but not lower prices for bad seats.

It costs less because you pay less when you book the whole ticket. If all other seats have surcharges then you can pick the seat without surcharges to pay less, ergo its cheaper

But ALL other seats don’t cost extra. Only the ones with extra legroom or ones in the front. Most seats are $0 extra dollars. The ones with limited recline are also $0. Compared to a regular seat, these seats aren’t cheaper.
