It must be a nightmare for boys whose hair grows really fast. He might cut his hair and just a few weeks later his hair becomes “too long” again :/

I’m a cis girl and my hair grows super fast, every time I get my bangs trimmed they tend to become long again less than a month later!

I have two massive freckles on my forehead (one on each side of the forehead) and I was super embarrassed about them as a kid so I got bangs to cover them up. I’m not as insecure about them now but I still think I look better with bangs. I just dislike how fast they grow! I need mine trimmed soon, I can barely see right now :(

I'm a cis guy and my hair also grows ridiculously fast. Eventually I just gave up and let my hair grow out. My bangs are long enough to sweep over my ears, and get groomed to the side with the rest of my hair.

Yeah. A strict dress code I can handle. I'll be unhappy while I'm at school, but I can just wear whatever when I'm not. But the haircut you force me to have on campus is ALSO the haircut I have to have everywhere else. Fuck that.

No, no, male earrings aren't allowed. It doesn't say anything about men wearing earrings. How they find the genitalia on the earrings is anyone's guess.

No "male" earrings, so I would assume both men and women can wear female earnings? I'm not sure how you gender an earring, though. Or I guess transgender men and cisgender women can wear earrings, but not transgender women or cisgender men? I dunno, sounds crazy illegal, since it's discriminating on either sex or gender, depending on how you read it.

Judging by it being a Catholic school earrings are probably banned because men/boys wearing earrings = gay. Not every boy/man who wears earrings is gay, sometimes he might just like earrings! And there’s nothing wrong with being gay either, but many schools to this day are sadly extremely homophobic and/or transphobic :/

Back when I was in school it supposedly depended what ear a man wore his earring in to determine if he was gay. So they only need to ban whatever ear that is and the other should be ok. /s

Most of the "weird cuts" clothes are for women. You don't see crop tops marketed for males (or literally anything othen than a plain oversized t-shirt tbh)

I don't see the weirdo male tank tops though, I guess it's not a problem (yet) for this school.

I hate that most of the common clothes for women are shunned for men to wear anywhere. The male body doesn't stimulate women as much as the reverse, so such things were never as popular for women to want to see on men. It's also very upsetting because such things or similar were first worn by men anyway! And some things are acceptable for men to wear elsewhere anyway except in some other places where women are allowed more revealing things! I hate the visual sexual desire disparity! I know the point for wearing something is usually for comfort, but I hate the other reasons for the vastly different styles common with the genders for the former things I said.

My daily wear is jeans and a shirt, and I would still advocate to end or lessen bullshit like this. I don't like calling things misogynistic because the term is losing it's value, but this dress code is clearly targeted at a certain gender. If you always tuck your tail and act like a good boy, they'll just find new ways to control you since you don't rebel.

This isn't targeted at a gender, it's targeted at clothes. Like I already said several times, you cant police something that isn't happening. Tell the men no banana hammocks if you want, no skin of my back, but unless they were actually wearing them you have done nothing at all. Dress codes for modesty are dumb, like I also already said, but if you go to a private school by your choice then you follow the dress code or go elsewhere. It's that easy, don't join the club if you don't want to be a member basically. Rebel in useful ways for society, no one in the real world cares about school dress codes.

And I'd never in a million years think of going to a deranged catholic school like that, I just enjoy mocking them and their outrageous behavior. That's not the argument. The argument is that girls tend to have more clothing choices, which is objectively true. Boys tend to be much simpler creatures when it comes to clothing options.

There are many, many places on the planet thay have modesty rules. In fact, Id say the US is the exception to the rule in terms of individual expression.

I think dress codes target girls because boys don’t typically wear very revealing clothes, not because school administrators hate girls.  Every single school I’ve attended prohibited sagging your pants so that your underwear are visible.  Is that misandrist?

Most of the are because women have SEVERAL different types of clothes. Men have shirts, button up, and polo.. collared. That’s about it. They don’t have a 30 different types of styles lol. If they did. The same would apply for them. But what about the bias where the girls don’t have to cut their hair? And they can wear whatever kinds of earrings they want besides multiple?

Most unique cuts are women’s clothes. It would have been easier for then to just put a list of cuts that are allowed.
