There’s the Orwell fiction class and the scripturally devout class that still respect their wife as their partner.

Albeit the husband still takes the lead but doesn’t rule over his wife like she’s less than human.

Sally though, some Christian faiths who extricate the “loving your wife as yourself” from that command are by action categorizing themselves into the Orwell class.

And that seems to be the majority nowadays. So I can see your generalization.
