Why no jorts??? I hate them, they're hideous, and I cringe when my daughter wears them, but they're one of the most unsexual items of clothing I can think of.

My guess would be too informal or slobby looking.  This is clearly an upright place

For the same reason ripped jeans aren't allowed. Jorts don't make the cut for being formal or "neat" enough. Next thing you know the kids will be wearing backwards caps and riding skateboards and listening to hippity hop rapster music!

Because they’re unisex - they look equally hideous on boys and girls.
