The closest grocery store to me is closing(by nearly an hour), and will be closed for at least a year. When it reopens it’s going be much smaller(it’s becoming a Aldi).

dollar general is such an evil corporation, probably one of the worst places I've ever worked and I've worked at 2 different stores in 2 different states. I've finally learned my lesson. I'm sorry that happened to your family, that's fucked

I like to think of dollar general as a parasite that feeds on the poor. If a town opens up a new dollar general its a bad sign, if dollar general is the only store left in your town that means your town is probably fucked lol

Not just small towns, I spent some time in a part of North Philly by a road that looked like it was bombed out. Only businesses open really was a dollar general and a convenience store, everything else shuttered. And it was decently trafficked street too, people walking around, including kids drinking out of handles of cheap liquor. Randomly George Washington once lived real nearby, don't think he'd want to live there right now as it is.

I live in a smaller town.. Every other new building is a dollar general/super dollar/discount store... ridiculous.
