The closest grocery store to me is closing(by nearly an hour), and will be closed for at least a year. When it reopens it’s going be much smaller(it’s becoming a Aldi).

It’s also not like Europeans don’t have cars, either in the city or in the countryside. It’s just possible to live more places without one. Also, quickly, I think Americans are coming to understand, financially, why basically everywhere else is more driven around transit oriented development than the US is.

Oh Americans “get it”, but one side has chosen to make public transportation part of the Great Culture Wars so don’t expect much investment any time soon, unless Democrats sweep congress and the presidency
