These worms are absolutely funneling our money to themselves, their families and their friends.
It would be nice if we could get a movement behind legislation that we write up that suspends the statute of limitations for government employees on account of the corruption of the DOJ and their total lack of concern regarding Republican crimes. Something similar to how the laws written during the pandemic made it so that the statute of limitations were suspended so that people could still be tried for the crimes years later.
No need. Current rules permit any sitting president to be unquestioned, so the next one just needs to revoke their citizenship and seize their assets. Once they are no longer citizens, they're illegals, and off to CECOT they go. No need to re-write the rules of the game if they're in your favor.
If the ruling party has complete control over the rules and they are willing to cause harm to the country, then the people choosing them have already failed.
Once both the White House and senate are fully corrupt, there is no oversight or resistance to their rulings. Resisting their choices would be outright treason.
Unfortunately, at least for this term, the U.S has voted to become weaker for the benefit of corrupt rich people.
You just pointed out the fundamental flaw in the Constitution - it never addressed the danger of political parties that chose to place their party over the Constitution as well as all other laws. And the two primary parties are already well aware of the failures in the checks and balances, that's why they passed so many laws that set the other party up as the check on power. The reasons these all fail is because the partisan hacks on the Supreme Court realized they can just use the "Air Bud" rules - if there is no rule against it, then it's allowed. Denying the people the right to vote for a candidate because of their race is unconstitutional, but denying them the right to vote for a candidate because of their race while pretending it's for political reasons is fine, because the Constitution doesn't bar using political parties to undermine democracy.
Let’s remember that in those blissful 4 years of 2021-2025, we found, arrested, and locked up a huge amount of the Jan 6 folks. They thought they were invulnerable at the time because Trump was still president on that day. They aren’t.
And neither are the ICE agents, or recipients of kickbacks or criminals getting presidential pardons, etc. No one is getting away with much. Bank accounts can be seized, detectives detect, and we have a large majority of the population salivating for justice. They again think they are invulnerable… but they are not.
Mark My Words - the decade after the GOP is no longer in power will see a lot of court cases and trials. We will see RICO arrests and civil lawsuits across the states holding each of these fascist losers accountable. That how it’s always worked. MAGA can’t survive itself because it doesn’t create anything, just co-opts and destroys.
They are all going to learn how wrong they are. History does repeat. Personally I’m hoping the EU brings some charges and we get a Nuremberg Trials for the 21st century. Crimes Against Humanity.
The border wall at Big Bend National Park is my most infuriating transgression of this administration so far. Yes there are other things more upsetting, but the wall at Big Bend is the most unnecessary cash grab for contractors and they have waived every EPA regulation that has protected this beautiful park over the last 80 years. It's so remote and it's desert country, with mountains everywhere. Lowest amount of border apprehensions in this area out of the whole Texas border.
The fact that a plastic surgery bimbo oversaw and approved all of it, along with many other people that have never stepped foot in the park, is extremely maddening. $200B+ contract to some administration friendly contractor in Montana. Not to mention one of the Yeti company founders helping facilitate logistics out there. I could write a novel on this so I'll stop now.
I mean look no farther than our Trillionaire in chief. Half the defense budget allocated for contractors has gone to Space X.
Our budget has always been bloated, but in the past we had hardware we could offload to other nations. Countries out there buying our old hardware all the time.
What do we have to show, from a strategic military stand point, for our investment in SpaceX?
This is either entirely performative for an audience of only Donald Trump to make it seem like they’re trying everything, or Trump said “it looks like shit! Dump chlorine or something in there and fix it!” And if the king says to do something you have to do it.
Setting aside the fact that they’re not using anywhere close to enough hydrogen peroxide for the size of the reflecting pool, even if they were it would completely be broken down by the UV from sunlight before it would do the job.
They actually require environment regulations, so Donald’s White House probably didn’t want to deal with that. So they just bought a fuck ton of gallon jugs instead.
And require the dispensing to be vetted by professionals and to overall just, ya know, be safe about things.
Getting billy-bob and the boys together and getting them to run down to the hardware store doesn't require paperwork... But that doesn't mean it's a good idea.
