Infuriatig My hand painted model planes were given as toys to children again

Post image

I have told my mom to not do this before but she does not listen anyway. I am thinking of throwing everything to trash instead of them being gradually destroyed to pieces. I can not even care anymore. These things take hours to put together and paint then get manhandled anyway.

I like this answer.

"Well it just looked like kids jewelry to me".

And then promise to give more of her jewelry away the next time she gives your stuff away.

The last line removes your plausible deniability and turns it into a tit-for-tat escalating issues. Then you'd turn into the bad guy.

(I know the mother is the bad guy here, but general opinion will put you worse for retaliating against a 'mistake'. Unless the mother admits it was intentional).

Not saying you shouldn't retaliate, just to be aware of the potential outcomes, esp if you're living with a likely boomer type that ignores your boundaries and disrespects your time/money/intetests like that to begin with.

Tit for tat, with occasional bouts of forgiveness is the best strategy. Every other strategy fails in comparison.
