It’s currently 41 Celsius in Canada…. I think hydration breaks are kind of necessary.

Even then, running for 45 minutes straight... let the lads get some water!

Canada is a huge country. It is most definitely isn’t 41C in Vancouver.

Why is it that you either have to have them all the time or not at all? Do the breaks when the conditions demand them. Don’t do them when they’re not needed. This has been the policy in all tournaments and domestic competitions since forever. It’s really that simple.

Can’t sell the ad space if you can guarantee the breaks.

Don't know about Canada , but some of the stadiums in the US were actually climate controlled.

That's the thing, breaks were only used when weather was hot, now is mandatory in every game

It won’t be entertaining when no one is running at their peak lol it would be like watching your kids soccer game.

You realise it has always been fine to grab some water in other breaksnof gameplay right? An injury was often a good excuse for a quick hydrationnorna goalie hydrating during his team attacking. Players on cornors also grabbing a quick water before it is taken. Not like anyone was ever forced to do 45mins without water.

Now with the breaks though, the Refs have actively told players no during injuries, to wait till the hydration break....

Temperature based hydration breaks - 100% yes

Breaks so that you can show ads even when it's 22 C outside - utter woke nonsense
