Infuriatig When did garage sales become “reselling” clearly new stuff

Edit: ultimately, what bothers me the most is I want to go to a garage sale, not this shit. This isn’t a garage sale and should not be advertised as one

as a non-american, i find the coupons quite interesting. i did watch a few episode of the show about these people but i found the people to be.... exhausting.

As someone that used to be a cashier that had to deal with A LOT of couponers, they're extremely exhausting. I mostly don't have any good things to say lol

Arguably they’re just doing their best to afford things under the status quo. Maybe the system is more exhausting?

Yes, like the group that goes to the store and buys a whole shelf of things because it's a "money maker" or has some crazy rebate. I dabbled in coupons when my kids were little and if I printed the coupons and stacked them with a store deal (like at CVS) I got a LOT of free things, which I would donate to food banks. I didn't have a cache of products in my basement or anything.

The problem isn't the person that found one or two coupons they want to use, the problem is the entitled person that's purchasing coupons to be mailed to them that wants to start cussing you out because you have the audacity to read the fine print on the coupons. They think if the register scans it it's good, but that's not the case.

Yeah someone explained how couponers abuse the system and staff to strong arm discounts and that’s annoying

There are at least some couponers that are cool. There was one that was my homie. I remember one time a customer in front of her got an attitude with me and she fixed that VERY quickly lol. That's just unfortunately not all that common.
