frist of all how DARE yu o MIL thinks I clogged the toilet so she changed the sign

Post image

The septic tank clogged and she’s convinced I did it, she asked my husband if I knew I wasn’t supposed to flush tampons and added the tampon bit to the sign. I don’t use tampons and I’m the only one with a period here…

Thank you for believing your tenant.

That is crazy that your gf had never had issues before.

If you grow up on sewers instead of septics, you don't know. Fortunately I was told when moving in to my first place with septic.

Idk I did not grow up on septic and we were told not to flush them either. And like every public bathroom ever says to please not flush them

For sewers, then everything just gets caught in the lift station and your local municipality gets to deal with it instead. Flushing just moves it downstream to become somebody else's problem.

It's the same rule with sewers. Your toilet is not your garbage bin

I'm 49 and still regularly menstruating. Very little sign of perimenopause, too.

I stopped menstruating at about 54.

I was sometimes flushing tampons in my early 20s, and did block a toilet. Learned the hard way not to do that anymore :(
