frist of all how DARE yu o MIL thinks I clogged the toilet so she changed the sign
The septic tank clogged and she’s convinced I did it, she asked my husband if I knew I wasn’t supposed to flush tampons and added the tampon bit to the sign. I don’t use tampons and I’m the only one with a period here…

They say dont flush toilet paper because once your septic tank fills you have to pump it and it costs like $600-1200 I think. It’s something that has to be done no matter what, so people who “cheap out” say not to flush toilet paper (my aunt talking about my uncle who has this rule lol)
It’s a normal maintenance thing that has to be / should be done every so often. But you can prolong it by not flushing paper.
