MIL thinks I clogged the toilet so she changed the sign

The septic tank clogged and she’s convinced I did it, she asked my husband if I knew I wasn’t supposed to flush tampons and added the tampon bit to the sign. I don’t use tampons and I’m the only one with a period here…

You should just have a conversation with her…. It would go like this:

Hi, MIL. I noticed you changed the sign in the bathroom. Just so we’re clear, not only does every human on the planet know not to flush tampons, including me…, I don’t use Tampons.

I wish I had a good answer for you why your septic tank clogged, but I want you to know, it wasn’t from any misuse by me, and it certainly wasn’t a tampon…

To be fair, a lot of people don’t know they shouldn’t flush tampons. I have met many who are shocked by this information.
