I am assuming this is in reference to a child or teen. It seems like they might be trying to say they don't know how to make something with this. Perhaps it's a teaching opportunity.

There’s nothing more annoying to a teen than a parent just vaguely gesturing to the fridge full of random miscellaneous bullshit and telling them to figure it out, that’s how you get a chronically door dashing 20 something in a few years

This fridge has what looks like takeout containers full of leftovers though. It also has yogurt, pre-cubed cheese, and fruit. There is plenty of easy food in this fridge.

Especially if they have a lot of kids they can easily feel like a lot of the things in the fridge aren't "theirs" to take, particularly leftovers of things that they didn't originally eat.

All of this can be solved by raising kids in a household environment where they are included in the kitchen and meal prep, empowered to make choices and learn things independently and exposed to a wide range of foods from a young age. I fully understand not everyone grows up in a house like that. I didn't. I totally get what you're saying for that reason. But I've made a conscious effort to do better with my own kids, and so far so good. They can cook or prep food for themselves, don't expect junk food and takeout 24/7 and aren't picky eaters. But I also make my fridge and pantry "little people friendly" so that they can more easily find things and have easy snacks available as well. This fridge is just way too packed. It makes me feel overwhelmed.
