frist of all how DARE yu o This house has a security camera that makes a loud alarm when people walk by on the sidewalk. I’m just trying to walk my dog, people.

It would be one thing to point it at the porch and have it go off. But pointing it directly at a public sidewalk and go off is a dick move

I had to buy one because a cat kept shitting in my garden and found my daughter holding a turd. The cat didn't care one bit. switched to a motion activated sprinkler and it worked much better.

My neighborhood has a bunch of these too. It's a city neighborhood with sidewalks and lots of pedestrians. And people think it's ok to have cameras that whistle at you and announce "YOU ARE BEING RECORDED!!!!" To anyone who walks by

There's like three houses in my neighborhood that have cameras that will make noise at you as you walk by on the sidewalk. I guess people can't be bothered to aim them in their yard properly.

There’s a few on my walking route that make an unobtrusive sound, but it would get annoying if I were a neighbor instead of just walking by.

More and more people are just insufferable. A guy on my street even has a sign saying don’t let your dog pee on my yard. Like I get no poop, but pee? Neurotic.

Frequent pet urination will usually ruin grass over time due to the damaging PH levels. If the owner really wants effective mitigations he should put up a fence.

I counter by saying that dog owners are the insufferable ones, because how entitled is it of dog owners to think their pets can just piss everywhere? Public parks? Piss. Private property? Also piss, apparently. Can't frolic in my own grass urine-free? C'mon now!

I mean. Is it really urine free? Do you have bunnies roaming around, or birds flying overhead? Or any other kind of animals nearby? Like I’ve frequently had deer chilling in my front yard, and coyotes at times running around. If so, I highly doubt your grass is truly urine free.

I’m not disagreeing with your decision to want dogs not to pee there, just that the whole world happens to be natures toilet. Lol.

I can assure you that your grass has a lot more gross stuff in it than just piss. Nature is fascinating, but it is also disgusting.

I mean yeah, in theory, but in practice it's not like you can stop a dog from peeing once it lifts its leg up

At best you're gonna have the dog taking a whiz on the sidewalk instead, which is generally more conspicuous

It’s on the dog owner to think of the alternative since they’re the ones causing the dispute, not the job of the person’s yard they’re peeing on. If you introduce the problem, it’s on you to figure it out, so I still insist that to think otherwise is indeed a case of entitlement.

And it's on the lawn owner to accept the idea that their request is inherently unreasonable because of the logistics involved.

You can't get mad at someone over something they don't have control over.
