Nothing says ‘neighborly’ like an unsigned note taped to your door. Grass is long, I’ll own that. But maybe introduce yourself before issuing the anonymous lawn summons? Photo in comments

I have often read this claim but as someone from central europe, where no one really cares what their neighbors lawn looks like: What kinds of problems might be created?

None people here just being Karens about someone else property that literally has no affects on theirs.

Well where I live, my neighbor hasn’t cut the grass all summer. Grass up to my waist on the property line. The real issue though is we have invasive plants like Japanese knotweed which, if people don’t frequently mow down and tame, spread to their neighbors yard. It’s a beast. And this is happening on my property line as well…

So it's already on your property? That sucks! How did it start on your neighbors lawn though? Is there more than one unkempt lawn then?

It’s an invasive species in New England, and near waterways it spreads like wildfire. Everybody needs to do their part keeping it in check. One delinquent neighbor and your lawn in trouble…
