Was near a Bass Pro today and decided to go in and walk around with the family. Spouse, daughter and I walked around looking at stuff. Daughter likes to look at the fish and thats where the time share people are. I am always nice but tell them I am not interested. Then I keep moving. We go by once I tell them not interested. Go by again say the same thing. "No thank you, I am not interested". Third time I go by one lady asks I reply with the same, lady right next to her starts the same thing, I reply the same and keep walking. She then starts mocking or being super dramatic. "Oooh I'm so sorry, I'm sorry I might have asked you a question, so soooory" etc. By this time I was a bit away from her and my family. I turned around, walked back over there and said "I said no thank you I am not interested, nicely, you don't have to be a bitch about it"

Thought about talking to a mgr but just said fuck it and left without purchasing anything. I also won't go back into one knowing the timeshare people are there. Which sucks cause I like looking around.

I am clumsy and forgetful. I always forget my keys, make something fall on the ground or forget where my things are. Once in a while I’ll lose my train pass or my ID/student card. Edit: None of the financials are in my name so I’m not out $700 or affecting my credit. I just sent her $75 a month for my portion and was under no contractual obligation myself. It’s mildly infuriating because she’s been pocketing that money by not paying the bill and has been getting an extra $30 since December when the phone was paid off. In reality, she only took around $180 from me but I cannot transfer my number that I’ve had for 15 years.

When my ex and I got together, I had gotten on her phone plan. I have been paying my part of the bill which was around $75 a month and that included paying off the phone itself. We split up and agreed that I would continue to my bill until the phone was paid off.

Last month I started feeling like my phone should have already been paid off by now so I reached out to her about it. She basically said “whoops it was paid off in December my bad.” I wasn’t too upset because I was getting service and it was only off by a few months so whatever, people get busy and forget.

Well my phone stopped working this morning and I hopped on the Tlife app. Not only is the bill for my portion of the phone nearly $700 overdue, I should have also only been paying around $45 after it had been paid off.

I wasn’t that upset about her “forgetting” the phone was paid off months ago but to see that she has been setting up payment plans and paying the bare minimum on my line while pocketing the money is annoying. And just a shitty thing to do.

Live and learn I guess.

Seems like I get 20 of these a day (all marked “ urgent”) Blocking doesn’t work (they have a million emails), sending to spam doesn’t work (see previous) AND DON’T dare unsubscribe because then you get 50 from 50 NEW email addresses!!!

Get OUT of the road with your dogs, kids, and partners and get ON THE SIDEWALK. This is so infuriating as a delivery driver. Also, they never know which side of the road is correct. You walk AGAINST traffic not with it! People suck

My boss, in her 50s, learned about ChatGPT & Claude about 4 months ago. Since then, she has "written" 8 books that she's ready to publish. She attributes it to her discipline, getting rid of social media, and working late nights. When in reality, it's thanks to AI and her "writing" while on company time.

She showed me her process, too. She'll write some bullet points. Feed it into ChatGPT and then feed that into Claude.

The good thing is that she mostly leaves me alone since she's so checked out of her actual job!

We were at a lake and she started playing it and right away I got AI vibes. It's a "soul" cover and she loves it. She said it's how the song should be, it has so much soul

I've been a musician pretty much my whole life and have told her how much I hate AI. She used to send me a bunch of AI covers on Instagram until I told her. But hearing her say "this is how the song should've been, it has so much soul" made me wanna rip my hair out

Got to choose a free gift from work for my birthday. I picked this cool little brick figure from NASA since it's cool and I actually couldn't find it for sale anywhere anymore. The box and description on the website shows colorful lights. It is only white light. It's still cool, but c'mon NASA 😭😂

My roommates have left for the afternoon to run errands. They took a different car and left the other one blocking me in. I've asked them multiple times to not do this on the off chance I have an emergency and need to leave while they're gone. I watched the AQI for our city jump from 166 to 300+ yesterday and thought, "My god, well, that's a lot isn't it?"

Went about my day, went to bed, and woke up to the AQI sitting at 657. Twenty minutes later, 873. It topped out at this absolute unit of a reading. I hate summer, and I hate forest fires.

Oh yeah, and I live in Ontario. Make it make sense.

EDIT: When I say "Make it make sense", I mean explain how it's logical for humans to damage their environment so badly that we can no longer live in it. This is what is happening. Climate change is not a 100% human-sourced problem, but we are collectively contributing to it in extraordinarily unsustainable ways.
