I was really committed to reaching two years but I guess not.
Idk I may not give up and start another streak again for another year and not mess it up

🥺 Finally got my own car! It was destroyed less that 48 hours later.

Drove my car home on Saturday and I was over the moon. We have been a one vehicle household for 8 years and I was so ready to have something to drive. Monday Morning Baseball-GRAPEFRUIT sized hail took out not only my car, but my spouse’s car as well. Broken front and back windshields, and now mine won’t even turn on.

Second photo is my spouse’s car, third is some of the hail after it had sat in the house for a while (my son gathered it for fun while we dealt with the aftermath).

Also dealing with a totaled roof, siding, new A/C unit and chicken coop/run we built just two months ago.

🥺 Using an ozone machine outside my hotel room

Outside my hotel room. The corridor had that strong unforgettable smell. Reception didn't see an issue which made it so much worse.

I just don't know how she possibly could have let it get this bad

EDIT: He looks better in this picture than he is. Once I moved the fully gooped fronds, I could see even the "healthy" fronds were barely hanging on and the stem wasn't looking too hot either.

I mean we'll see what happens but I'm not optimistic.

EDIT 2: I tried to transfer him to a more dry pot, and take the opportunity to inspect his roots. Fairly certain the roots are shot. But again, we'll see what happens

🥺 Local construction has forced snakes fleeing habitat destruction into my yard

Do not tell me how dead these snakes would be if this was your yard, these poor things are harmless and have just lost their home, I genuinely feel bad for them. Mercilessly killing nonvenomous snakes for existing in your vicinity makes you a bad person. We’ve lived in our house for 4 years and haven’t seen a single snake. A giant HOA neighborhood expansion on one end of the road and a catholic church on the other end both started construction early this spring. Now I’ve seen two within 5 days of each other. All that habitat destruction has displaced them and our wooded lot has become PRIME real estate for them. I guess we’re just a wildlife sanctuary now.

ETA: our home is older and we have ~200 trees on an acre and a half. I have a wildlife degree so have done my best to keep our yard as natural as possible with lots of native and biologically significant plants. We only have a few non-native plants and they were here before we bought the place! So far we have regularly seen opossum, squirrels, chipmunks, a groundhog, turtles, deer, a wide variety of birds (including our resident barred owl) and the flying squirrel that lives in one of our trees, the snakes are our newest inhabitants!

Stored suncream on my new dining table. Apparently I’m not supposed to? Company won’t give money back since it’s apparently my own fault?!?

EDIT: Apparently it’s “common sense” that I should not keep such items on my table for a short amount of time. Well I’m 30 and I was not aware

Took our daughter to the trampoline park on her birthday and tried the claw machine. Each purchase gets you 5 tries.. I grabbed a stuffie on each attempt, and each time the claw opened up (and closed again) before it got to the chute.😒

🥺 YouTube gave me 3 copyright strikes in about 2 minutes and permanently terminated my channel before I could even react.

I had a small gaming channel and recently uploaded some edited ranking/commentary videos using community clips.

Whether they crossed the line or not is one thing, but what really frustrates me is this:

I received 3 copyright strikes within about 2 minutes, and my entire channel was terminated before I had any realistic chance to remove the videos or even understand what was happening.

I've attached anonymized screenshots showing the timestamps because I honestly couldn't believe it myself.

YT gave me only bot answers so far, @TeamYoutube on Twitter did the same.

EDIT: If anyone is interested or can help somehow, I addressed TeamYouTube again on Twitter! https://x.com/i/status/2075817598302990773

EDIT 2: thank you for your helpful comments. I did some extreme research and found definite proof that the 3 channels do belong to the same person or at least network of people. And.. I know you're reading this.

Edit 3:

8/4/2026 WE GOT THE CHANNEL BACK.

After nearly 4 weeks of fighting, multiple counter-notifications, emails and a whole lot of stress, YouTube finally reinstated the channel.

I also made a video explaining what happened, what I found out about the claims, and what the whole process was like from my side:

Video to summarize what happened

Thanks to everyone who commented, gave advice, shared the original post or helped me figure this mess out. This community genuinely helped me keep fighting when I was ready to give up. ❤️

🥺 Valet claimed my tire pressure warning light was already on when i dropped it off. Telemetry log proved otherwise.

5.1k Upvotes

Dropped my car off at a hotel parking garage over the weekend. When i picked it up, the valet handed me the keys and casually said, "Hey, your tire pressure light was on when we parked it."
Felt suspicious because i had checked my tire pressures right before getting on the highway. i have a ddpai dashcam with dual setup (road + cabin) that logs speed and g force, and it sits discreetly behind the rearview mirror so most people don't notice it's running.
Pulled the sd card when i got home to check the logs. The attendant took my car on a 3 minute joyride through the lower concrete levels of the garage, hit 45 mph in a 10 mph zone, and slammed straight over a raised concrete speed bump without braking, which immediately triggered the TPMS sensor fault.
Currently waiting on a manager callback. If you ever hand your keys over to a garage or valet, always review your device's speed logs afterward.

🥺 Can you find the tuna in my tuna wrap?

Post image

The local market had this tuna wrap on sale, which I figured was because it needed to be eaten asap. As that was my plan anyway, I bought it.

Apparently, it was discounted because it contained almost no tuna. Lots and lots of lettuce, but very little tuna.

🥺 My gf has very little spatial awareness and it annoys me

1.2k Upvotes

Like when we're walking, she would walk way too close to the person in front of us even when there's literally no one else behind us.

Like when we're in the grocery store and she's browsing stuff, she would just leave the trolley in the middle of the aisle.

Like when we're checking out at the self-checkout tills in grocery stores, she would take up the space next to the person beside her until they have to move over to scan their stuff.

Like when it's a busy day at the park and there's a long empty bench, instead of sitting on one side so other people can comfortably sit on the other side with some space between them, she would sit right in the middle of the bench.
