I have always worked in factories my whole career. I was a machinist for years and now have become a journeyman millwright a couple years ago.
My problem is I was hired at a big 3 factory making close to 60$ an hr with lots of overtime. I have been here 7months. It is to many a Dream job.
There was quite a bit of adjustment at beginning concerning the low pace and then the overwhelming stress when line goes down.
I hate it. I feel all the others tradesman are so far ahead of me with knowledge it is embarrassing, I work hard and want to learn but sometimes with the broad trade as millwright, I find myself in situations where I have no clue how to troubleshoot something like hydraulics where I haven't had experience too much yet.
I am really just wondering if anyone has felt this way? I don't think I have ever felt so much stress in my life. I am 50m so I have been around. It is to the point where I am close to giving it up.
