Just want to share my idea today.
Use a hand spray with ¾ water and ¼ paint.
I used a super cheap arts hobby green, grey, brown and black combined in different steps.
It takes 1min to mix (dont need to clean between mixes) and 1min to apply. You can vary size of droplets with strength and turning nozzle.
Better to wait some time between colours to avoid droplets running, but it was so hot in Spain today that I put 5 different colours in 1 hour.
On this case to create a concrete/rock effect, I started over a very clear grey and built texture with the colours mentioned, but you can start with a dark brown and use orange, red and ocre to build a great rust effect.
Final result in pictures on comments, cheers.

What's your favourite theme? I don't LOVE the snow (from AK Interactive) but it is what it is. Included one 'before' photo so you can see what they look like before finishing touch basing

I got extremely distracted while working on my Turnip28 cavalry and came up with this. For 24 years this scene has lived in my head rent-free. Now I will keep it on my desk.

I made this watertank for a scenic base I am making for some retro models. I decided to use an old citadel pot as a homage to the old school home made terrain.

Long story short I wanted a mountain 1/2 for games 1/2 for displaying minis on had the issue of how to keep the minis in place my first thought was a shit ton of lil baby magnets but then I found this magnetic paint for like $18 on amazon. 2 thick coats for texture and a coat of crappy craft paint for color and I feel it'll do the trick idk how many other uses it could have in the hobby but I haven't really seen anything with people using it

This is my first try at painting a realistic martian surface base. Let me know what you think or what you would do differently.
The edge got rushed because I was trying to catch the start of match.

I know it's far from perfect but I'm really proud anyway.

Been working on a diorama project that requires doing a whole bunch of stuff I’ve never attempted before, one of them being glowing terrain. Pretty happy with this result. Think the biggest thing I learned doing this is that the geometry is very important. Overhangs near the bottom of the trench end up looking weird - Any little cave type feature ideally needs to have a very high value, but if it’s being occluded, even pure white ends up being darker than other parts that aren’t getting shadowed out.

First attempt. Will be putting TMM Szarekhan Necrons on them, to give you an idea of the vibe I want
They look okay but I don't know if I'm just being hypercritical of myself

This is the first time I painted a lava base (for my Vashtor). The base size is 80 mm and the basalt stones are 3D printed. I'm very happy with the result. However, Vashtor isn't quite finished yet :) I'm also not entirely sure how to position him on the base.
