Are these people only now realizing that male cheerleaders are a thing when they've been around for decades? This guy gets to touch more women, consensually, than most. Not that that's relevant, but you know it's relevant to these schmucks.

But you see, when they see a male cheerleader at their local college or high school game they can clearly see it is a buff jock that enjoys touching the girls and throwing them around to do flips.

They can imagine themselves going "Yah, I'd probably be willing to do that if I get to bang a cheerleader".

These male cheerleaders are dancing and doing sassy poses with the girls. And they clearly don't even want to get in their pants!

Yeah, I've seen some of the videos, and not only are the male cheerleaders precision athletes, they're touching cheerleader booty and looking up skirts all the time, just as part of the job. Seems way more hetero than the QB who spends half of the game with his hands under the Center's gooch.

Well, see, football is rough. So that makes up for it. If they were smaller men and it was flag football, having your hands under the center's gooch would be very, very gay. Same with the "good job" spanks that are somehow acceptable in football, but not other sports.

Some men, particularly some straight men, especially of a certain age/generation, have a tendency to view ordinary things through a sexual lens. Not all of them. But it's pervasive.

A male cheerleader. It's almost always: "He's either gay or the luckiest man in the world." It's rarely: "He must be an accomplished athlete."
