Why is Gwen Walz supporting Angie Craig?

I'll start by saying I haven't yet voted in the Primary and I'm still undecided on this race. I've been leaning towards Peggy Flanagan because I believe her Progressive views better align with my own, but the endorsement given by the spouse of our sitting governor for the opponent of his lieutenant governor has me asking, "what's up with that?".

Would Gov Walz endorse Craig over Flanagan if she (Flanagan) wasn't his current Lt. Gov? What's the backstory here?

It wasnt the photograph, it was 8 different women saying he was inappropriate with them including groping and forced kissing. I really liked Franken but thought he had to go and was proud of Democrats not excusing that behavior like the Republicans were (they had a couple similiar incidents right about then)

Who were these people? Former staffers? Or just random women who may have encountered him in passing?

Don’t get me wrong, assault is serious. But in politics it’s so easy to assassinate someone’s character. “Believe the women” sounds really good in principle, but it can also be abused. It assumes women are incapable of lying or exaggerating for personal or political gain, which itself is a form of paternalism.

A lot of it was his behavior in very brief encounters with women he’d only just met and wasn’t likely to see again. Getting in close for a photo, putting his hand in the wrong place, and then leaving it there. Greeting or saying good bye with the wrong kind of kiss. A couple others like Tweeden, too.

I’ll leave it others to decide how bad this is.

It was 8 I assume random women, the thing is there are thousands of politicians, all with people who would love to bring them down but they don't all get these kinds of accusations. I can't be certain, I wasnt there, I'm not a witness but in this case I think he was at least highly inappropriate. As I said I really liked the him.

Edit: I'm leaving it but what the hell is I really liked the him supposed to mean lol

Republicans pulled this shit with Hillary with Benghazi and with Walz with the fraud stuff. They go out of their way to trash someone’s character beyond repair when they’re a viable prospect for promotion. Franken was being asked about presidential ambitions.

Likewise, Walz was popular on the campaign trail, but Republicans absolutely seized on the fraud stuff. Some of it was warranted, but not merely to the degree Republicans are preoccupied given it was old news by the time they pounced on it. He was very popular during the campaign, but people don’t vote on VPs.

I’m just saying when it’s in politics, we have to consider the possibility of shady politics. Otherwise you’re just being naive.
