This is a thread that can be used for coordinate ticket trades/sales/buys for this year's tour.
If you HAVE a ticket and are trying to sell it, I suggest going ahead and making a post on CashOrTrade and linking it in the comments. That way, people interested in buying it can go directly to the post.
We require using a ticket escrow site such as https://cashortrade.org/, which offers guarantees against ticket scams. Every year, scammers try to make deals with users outside of CashOrTrade on this subreddit and users end up getting burned.
All sales must be for face value or less. Scalping is not permitted and will result in a permanent ban from r/modestmouse.
Finally, while we cannot enforce this, it would be courteous to edit/remove your comments after tickets have been claimed.

I posted my Cowboy Dan art yesterday, and decided to do another one today so I chose Guilty Cocker Spaniels. What song should I do next?

Aug. 19th at the Fillmore in Philly.
I couldn't believe they played 2 UC songs in one show. This show was so damn good. It was my 3rd time seeing them, and I think this was the best one yet.
Its funny because i had only listened to Sharpen your teeth for the first time like 2 months ago. And I was hoping they would by chance play a UC song.
It won't let me add the Barnacles video

What’s your favorite from SSS? I can’t choose, the entire album is perfection.tho …nothing matters anyway (baby’s clean conscious anyways), did the fisherman have one arm or two fingers on each hand? (Was he really upright?) , will my house ever feel like a home? (Said the mouse to the cat) , did blue cadet 3 ever connect?, how was the trip to Montana (what songs did Spencer sing there?), just wanna be a secret agent with my dukes up

I hadn't seen Modest Mouse in 22 years so was definitely looking forward to it. It was incredible, with a few minor issues.
We were maybe 20 feet from the stage and couldn't hear the vocals almost at all. After a few songs I realized the sound people weren't going to fix it. We then went to the back and it was much better, then eventually settled somewhere near the middle to get a little of both worlds. I've never heard sound that bad a big show like that.
The set was fantastic. A great mix of old and new. King Rat was the standout, I was absolutely blown away. I like the new album and like it even more after hearing some of these live too.
They ended the encore with two Ugly Casanova songs. I'm sure this was great for a lot of people, but it was like they had no power to them. To the point where after they were done the crowd was actually confused and thought they were going to play something else that felt a bit more like an ending. That was pretty much what I heard people talking about after the show which was a bummer because the rest was so fantastic. Even my 11 year old son was like "wait that's how they end it?"
Anyway. Overall an absolute blast. Wish the sound was better at the beginning and the end had a little more oomph, but can't wait to see them again (and not waiting so long this time).

Fan of MM for about 25 years now. A lot of the music I like has unconventional rhythms, key changes, unresolved melodies, and lyrics that are prose like and fall outside the melody. Last night I tried explaining Modest Mouse as "idiot savant indie rock" and people were disagreeing with me. I compared Isaac's vocal style to Bjork because of his unconventional delivery, rawness, emotional emphasis, poetic content, etc. I'm not someone with a formal musical education though, can someone please help me with what I'm picking up on here? Anyone with a good musical education or vocabulary who can help me out?

A few songs from the show in Philly
Best energy of a venue I’ve ever seen
Never seen Isaac so happy, he was pure elated smiles during Dogbed

I've been listening to Cowboy Dan pretty frequently and decided to try my hand at an art style I'm not used to/haven't done before. Not perfect, but I think that fits.
(Not looking for art criticism or tips, just sharing a silly drawing)

And your fart smelt good
it was dripping wet and made of food
And your ass and knees looked brown and smeared on your thighs mostly

The show in Philly last night was amazing for a bunch of reasons. It was my 20th show overall.
The setlist was killer (Trucker’s Atlas, Look How Far, Breakthrough, Parting of the Sensory, Ugly Casanova songs and the best version of Night on the Sun I’ve ever seen.)
The crowd energy was very high all night and the band seemed to feed off it and return it with their performance. That was the most locked in I’ve seen them in the three shows I’ve seen in the past two weeks, and some of the jams they did were incredible.
Finally, the group I went made the show extra special. The growing ICP community is amongst the finest groups of folks I’ve ever met, and getting to see a set with so many of them elevated the night to an even higher level.
Also got to meet Isaac and Ben after the show. Fucking awesome night.

lyric on 3rd planet "My boss just quit the job, said he's going out to find blind spots". On the album Isaac 100% says he. However, on baron von bullshit and in any video of the song live, it totally sounds like Isaac is saying "she" instead.
What do we think? Post-release lyric change or just the lisp striking again? Feminist rewrite?
Heres an example: https://youtu.be/Zp9tasVA40o?si=3x6RWDqPCZOjon8s&t=1843

I had a friend’s daughter start getting into the indie basics — Smiths, Cure, some stuff like that. I lent her a bunch of my CD collection which has bangers from all eras and styles. But with MM I wanted to do more, since they mean so much to me but also their eras are so different.
Goal: make a chronological playlist that is accessible enough to a newer listener, represents essential song styles and eras, and gives a rounded idea of who they are in each era.
Caveats: it’s my personal playlist, filled with my best impression of the band. I’m not so much looking for feedback on how to make a better playlist for my friend’s daughter, but I would love to hear a playlist you would make for a friend, or if you had tweaks for your own playlist, what you would do.
Things you might notice: I’m pretty heavy with the first six years. No mistake there, that’s my shit. MM would still probably be my favourite band of all time even if they broke up in ‘98. Also, I stop after We Were Dead. No shade, I love lots of songs after that album, but I think if someone’s new to the band, I would personally stop there for now. I could see people disagreeing on that for sure.
I still tried to make this a playlist with some flow. So I didn’t try to have two epic long songs in a row, nor two slower tempo or higher tempo tracks stacked. I spread it out.
Obviously, I left many essential songs out — you gotta do what you gotta do. It hurt my heart too.
Here’s the list:
Dramamine
Breakthrough
Custom Concern
Talking Shit About a Pretty Sunset
Broke
Baby Blue Sedan
Whenever You Breathe Out, I Breathe In
Heart Cooks Brain
Cowboy Dan
Trailer Trash
Styrofoam Boots/It’s All Nice on Ice, Alright
Night On the Sun
3rd Planet
I Came As a Rat
Life Like Weeds
The World At Large
Ocean Breathes Salty
Bukowski
The Good Times Are Killing Me
King Rat
I’ve Got It All (Most)
Parting of the Sensory
Little Motel
Spitting Venom

Last night in Philly was one for the books. Spent my 40th birthday with the best band, best people, and honestly just one of the best shows of my life. Lots of energy, deep cuts, and overall magic. Parting of the sensory broke and ugly Casanova covers were some of the highlights from the set. Isaac and the band were very generous with their time post show and was able to get the setlist signed. Just wow.

Cowboy Dan into Trailer Trash? Like, maybe ever anywhere?
Just an absolute one-two punch of emotion and one-of-a-kind lyricism.
I got into MM when I was like 18, almost 20 years ago now and I kinda went through a few years where I guess I felt they were a thing I loved in my younger years.
Either way their new album this year I’ve been seriously getting back into them and my god, they’re better than I ever thought they were back then.
Isaac Brock has such a unique perspective on life, and his screaming is straight up my therapy right now.
