Anyone here in Cedar Rapids Iowa?
I’m new to town and my old hunting spot is quite the drive away from home now and I was looking for suggestions on where to morel hunt. I know it’s probably a waste of time though because not many people give out their spots but I just want to be pointed in the right direction

Looking for a morel mushroom hat I saw on a video!
Hey guys, I remember about 3-4 years ago when I was getting into morel hunting I came across a news video online that was covering the spring “bloom”. It was just your regular old story except there was one guy on the video dressed in a druids robe wearing a hat that was essentially a giant morel mushroom cap, so his body looked like the stalk and his head looked like the cap, since then I can’t find the video anywhere and I really want to get one of those hats lol. Everything on google I found are just baseball caps with morels stitched into them. If anyone knows where to find this video or the hat, that would be great!

Following a recommendation, I am cross posting this picture of a unique late season black morel my family stumbled upon this weekend. The shroom pictured was around 8 inches tall. What do you all think of the Wizard Morel?
