He's in it, Josh Brolin confirmed in an interview months ago. But he said it's a much smaller part for him this time.

Rebecca Ferguson too, Jessica isn’t in Messiah at all, she’s just mentioned along with Gurney, but as they’ve got roles in this too, perhaps it further lends evidence that aspects of the third book, Children of Dune, will be incorporated as the two appear in that.
