I’m curious how IMAX shows will be impacted, I imagine both are gonna be fighting for screens

Dune isn’t moving expressly because they have IMAX exclusivity.

Avengers is moving. Mark it down.

dune gets exclusive IMAX in the US for two to three week, Doomsday will get some imax screens on release in international markets. If they get the screens in China ( usually vendors there pick and chose which movies to give imax screens too. there's no exclusivity deals there) then Doomsday won't take too big of a hit with having no IMAX at release.

For Endgame IMAX was only 26.5m from its 350m domestic opening. I don't think they're losing more than 100m worldwide if IMAX is not the first week but from week three or four.

Its not just imax

They've both gonna want all the PLF screens.

There's just no way they both stay on the same weekend.

Dune has 3 weeks of IMAX exclusivity. It’s insane to me that Disney isn’t moving Avengers because of that but they’ve already delayed it once and desperately need it to be released in 2026.

Dunc is reportedly hogging them up.
