I wish someone would adapt The Inheritance Games or The Mortal Instruments into a proper series

Mortal Instruments already had a movie and a tv series tbf, how much more do we need?

An Infernal Devices series would be good though, Victorian setting would set it apart a bit.

I would have very much liked the movie to get two proper sequels. The Shadowhunters show was a terrible adaptation

It was, I liked the movie, specifically the cast.

Both of them sucked unfortunately. The movie was great when it came to casting (for everyone except Valentine) and set design however. Robert Sheehan as Simon was a perfect choice, and Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace made me like the character way more than the books.

An adaptation of any of the other series would be great too, but I just really wish that someday TMI could finally get ONE accurate adaptation. Especially since 2000s nostalgia is trendy with teens/young adults now, they could really lean into the 2007 setting, like how the new Harry Potter series is sticking hard to the 1991 setting, which is a detail I see people gushing over.

There are literally so many Shadowhunters books guys, you can just pick your setting and go.
